The Bewitch Question

Unfortunately, if given great powers I don't think I'd be greatly responsible.  I don't think many of us would be.  Sometimes, that's a maddening thing in fiction.  Why DOES samantha let herself be the world's door mat?  Why doesn't Superman try to stop all war? 

On the other hand, sometimes it is the thing that makes them the hero.  It's cool that Spiderman doesn't go on the speaking circuit or merchandises himself beyond the odd photograph.  It's a mark of restraint that Superman doesn't push Lex Luthor through a wall. 

Maybe I wouldn't be a good person with unlimited power, but I can imagine better.

Cartoon Brew and the Simpson

Cartoon Brew has an interesting article on the Simpson Intro directed by the artist Banksy.  Can an artist really criticize a medium on that medium?

Question

"The Human Centipede" has come out on DVD.  The question is, do I give it a look or not.  I've seen some pretty skiffy things in my life and career.  I've tended, however, to steer clear of anything involving mouths and butts intertwined.  So on the one hand, I know I'm not going to like this.  On the other, it has become something of a curiousity and water cooler/chatroom topic.  So would I be doing a service to you the readers by adding my 3 cents?
