Well tonight's episode went back to taking its sweet time. I like that. The world's ended, unless there's a zombie on your butt why hurry? The show is building our faith and understanding of these characters in this strange new world. It takes a long time to build a house of cards.
And it is strangely statisfying when it falls down.
Our hero is finally reunited with his wife and child. Now though it is deputy Shane that's the odd man out. He was once running the little camp of survivers and banging his best friend's wife. Now the best friend is back and not only does he take his wife back but he's clearly leader material.
Awkward.
Also awkward is they have to explain to a well armed man why they chained his crazy brother to a roof of a building and left him there. An understanding was not reached. But there is a plan for a rescue mission that is hotly debated. The allure of more guns sways folks and off they go back to zombie town as Shane beats sense into some people.
Or at least a concussion.
Things are given a little bit of a happy moment in this episode, but it is clear things are going to go all pear shaped real quick like. Not only is their tension in the camp, but it seems like the dead are on the move. Also, it seems they just don't crave people. It's very likely a horde is going to eat everything around leaving the survivors not and much.
Only three episodes to go this season and it just keeps on getting better!
How can they call 6 episodes a 'season'? That's what I'd like to know.
ReplyDeleteReally you can't.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand many shoes don't last 6 episodes and this one has already been picked up for a second go around, so even if they got it back asswards it seemed to work.
