This is a fairly weird film. Vampires and shakespeare are not an easy combination and Hamlet is hardly the light hearted source for a play about vampires. Yet here it is. A director with personal problems is hired to direct said play by a very suspicious sun tan phobic Romanian fellow. Things go from weird to weirder, as the holy grail, police, and secret societies are tossed into a tale of vampires and acting.
This is a well acted and amusing little film. It sort of brings up the flavor of "The Fearless Vampire Killers," and that's not a bad thing. I was sort of amused seeing one of the guys who plays a cop in law & order play... a new york cop. It's little things that make this worth watching. What can you say about characters running around in tin foil turban.
Sounds like a hoot!
ReplyDeleteIt's not bad but definitely look for the fearless vampire killers first!
