The Walking Dead and ask Dr. Not Quite So Stupid

Dear Dr.  Not Quite So Stupid,
Hi!  Love "The Walking Dead."  It's a great show and zombierific.  I was wondering what was the big deal when they XXXXXXXXXXX that one dead body.  They've spent the whole day kicking zombie butt, so what was the big deal?
                                                      Your friend,
                                                       Little Billy
Billy I'm glad you enjoy "The Walking Dead."  So far it has turned out to be a power house show of a mix of great action and character.  It's a violent show, but it is a thoughtfully violent show.  Not the videogame violence that turns out little sociopaths.  There are several answers to your question, so let's just go through them one by one, 'kay?

Well Billy a lot can be put to adrenaline.  See when you are pumped up and sure you are going to die, you really don't notice as much something like a rank smell.  Also, for the most part they were not in an enclosed space with the zombies but were running around in the streets of Atlanta, aka now "Zombie Town."

Mostly, though, Billy it was because they are still human.  It's one thing to defend yourself as you try to stay alive, that is justifiable.  It's a lot harder to justify XXXXXXXXX a corpse.  That's why our hero stopped before starting to fish for a wallet to find a name to this corpse.  Because he didn't want to treat it like a piece of meat to be XXXXXXXXXX.  The moment they stop treating people, even dead people, as people is the moment that zombies really take over the earth.

Your friend
Dr. Not Quite So Stupid.
