No one knows why but the town of Piltdarwin has an automatic swear tax. Say a swear word and you will find a penny less in your pocket. Most people don't even notice the fine, unless they had a dollar and then find ninety nine cents in change suddenly in their pocket. If you have no money you will receive a nasty pinch. All pennies find their way to an upturned church bell in the middle of the town square. Generally all agree that Piltdarwin is a very nice town to live in.
