Villainy and Blackguards Incorporated #40: Baron Orb

Villains and Blackguards Incorporated (VABI) is an organization found on Earth 32aa which has dedicated itself to protecting the interest of those of differently enabled morality and enhanced humanity. They take care of legal expenses and investments. It has become a very successful organization and is considering spreading to other Earths. In case they do here are some of it's members.

VABI tries to be neutral on many stances its members have. We like to think of ourselves as Switzerland with lasers. But even the most neutral and nuanced of positions can reach a point where a stand is taken and someone will take umbrage over that. For example, it has long been VABI policy to take all claims of royalty at face value. Even King Rewind who claims to be the King of the imaginary land of Noz is accorded the respect of a king. All this brings us to Baron Orb.

Born Gertz Hunizendorf he is the illegitimate child of Baron Wietz of Mittmarch.  No legal authority recognizes his claim as the next Baron Mittmarch.  That hasn't stopped Gertz from trying to take the ancestoral castle away from the rightful heirs.  Armed with his orb that can produce beams of mass destruction made up of fermi particles, he has attacked again and again.  Usually he falls afoul of German super group the Feuer-Männer.

It is VABI's stock in trade to go against the Authorities, what complicates matters is there is another VABI member that claims to be the Baron of Mittmarch.  Resurrected nazi Blitz Stürmer not only claims to be the Baron, but also has his claims predate Gertz.  Gertz points out that Blitz had died and therefore even if he was the valid Baron of Mittmarch, that title would have passed to a surviving descendent.  Their arguments have gotten quite heated to the point of destroying a VABI base.  Our policy is still equally recognize each one's claims, but for the present we are careful to keep them apart.
