How I Ended the Summer

This is an interesting Russian drama set in a remote weather station in artic waters. There are two guys manning it, an old salt and a young intern. The old salt is very intimidating, and is always dressing the young guy down for not doing things right. There's definite tension between the two. One day when the old salt is away a message comes through that his wife and child are in the hospital and they are sending a ship in a few days to pick them up. The young gun decides not to tell the guy because he doesn't want him to go crazy before the ship comes. This is, of course, a horrible idea and things slowly go completely wrong.

It's a good film. I was interested watching it. Just seeing how they deal or not deal with the isolation was interesting.
