The Cape and Dice

Once again the Cape is forced to work to protect his enemy, uber industrialist and secretly the villain Chess.  This time the Cape must face Dice who has the power to see in the future, except where the Cape is concerned.  For unknown reasons the Cape is a "blank spot" in the Dice's future vision, and she likes it.  The Dice wants to kill Chess because Chess killed her father and is going to turn on a cybernetic version of her future seeing brain.  She and Chess are also weirdly attracted to each other both being danger gluttons.

Now, the Cape is clearly a show where logic is in the back of the bus or in the trunk of the car on the way to Jersey.  Saying that, there is something really wrong here.  Would a villain like Chess create a machine that can see the future and then TELL EVERYONE ABOUT IT?  If I were Chess I'd keep it all to myself and ask the important questions.  Certainly asking who the Cape is would be top of the list since Chess can't seem to figure out the obvious.

Frankly, this is not as good as the Cape on the train episode.  It needed more carnival of crime and a more interesting secondary villain.  Also, you can't keep having the Cape saving Chess.  Once is ok, twice in a row is just lame.
