Sometimes the world is just weird in its synchronicity. Yesterday I was watching the Nostalgia Critic's latest review on his site That Guy With the Glasses. If you have not seen this guy's act please do. I don't mind you leaving here and getting a good gander. Go ahead. I'll wait. Yesterday's review was on the horrid movie "Dungeons & Dragons." It truly is a horrid movie, but in a very funny fashion. It's not Plan 9 territory but it's certainly an 8.5.
So I enjoyed the rotten cheesiness and the Nostalgia Critic's patented losing it like crazy performance. Then I turned on the booby tube to watch the equally cheesy Nancy Grace, and what did I see? Why an add for "Community" where they were going to delve into the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Well how can I miss that dear readers? I made room in my busy schedule and sat myself down in the big comfy chair with Dungeon Dwellers hard tack (which those in the mundane world call dorritos) to see this bit of craziness. The plot was that they were doing the game to boost the self esteem of "Fat" Neil. Unfortunately, they miffed Chevy Chase's character. He gets vengeance by taking over the game and doing the sort of psychic flensing that could leave anyone with years of therapy.
It was beautiful. I've never been much of a Chevy Chase fan, but he does evil bastard most wonderfully. It matched his "Mad Chase" performance in Law & Order. I don't often watch Community but I might have to change that if they keep putting episodes like this on.
