Threat Assessment: 9. Once one becomes aware of the uzumaki there is no escape. The spiral is everywhere. It is in your own body. When the uzumaki spiral is activate and you are aware of it you will be literally twisted to fit the spiral.

Personal Note: Very lovecraftian concept that a mere shape can become something horrible. Japanese weirdness at its best.

I have been on an Asian film kick. I just watched HAUSU, Survive Style 5+ and I Saw The Devil on the weekend! Quite the hattrick there! Loved all three, although it was HAUSU that really blew my mind! A must see if you haven't already! Someone left me a comment to check out Uzumaki months ago and I still have not done so. I love the premise and I think I must elevate this to a higher position in the queue pronto!
ReplyDeletei saw and did a review of "House" as is the american title and it blew me away. You'll love uzumaki as long as you don't expect any answers or easy resolution. you might also look at the Suicide Club which is a mind benderf with musical numbers.
