Zombie Girl: The Movie

This is a fairly good documentary about a very young film maker. She was all of 12 when she started filming. So what does a 12 year old girl want to make a movie about? Why zombies of course. Her parents help, if not always understand, and she has lots of friends. So it should be easy right?

Well, two years later she learned that film making is anything but easy. I don't really know if she has talent, but she has drive. But drive only gets you so far, and being 12 means you are learning some things for the first time like how to organize a big group of people, how to juggle school and film, and how to keep peace with your parents.

I liked this documentary even if was uneven and a bit slow in places. I think it teaches some essential lessons and I certainly hope other kids get bit by the film bug. Besides I saw it for free on Netflix and free fixes a lot of faults.

Oh and the film does have a happy ending. Zombie Girl is busy making her third film.
