More Venture brothers

Well this week was a sort of a let down compared with some of the craziness we've been getting lately.  The story takes place in New York as we follow Dean's summer adventure.  He's an unpaid intern for Professor Impossible.  Dean doesn't know yet that Impossible is now in league with the evil Phantom Limb and Baron Underbeit and are planning the ruination of everyone else in the cast including Dr. Venture.  So Dean is usual clueless helpful self.

Speaking of Dr. Venture, he's also in New York sharing Dean's one room death rattle flat.  Seems he's been bitten by the broadway bug and he's writing a musical based on his life called, "Rust."  These two plotlines collide near the end as the villains lure Dr. Venture to his supposed doom.  In true Venture fashion, however, not much happens.

There are some interesting side characters.  There's a Spiderman clone who has webs coming out near his butt.  He was also voiced by Nathon Fillion so I'm sure he'll return later.  Fine singing voice by the way for a spider.  Phanton Limb and company were looking for a few good villains and got instead crazies like "Fat Chance" who could pull random objects out of "enigma hole," a weird Ladyhawke parody (She's a hawk by night, he's a bee by day), brick frog, and most disturbingly a guy in a bloody bear costume with a knife.

It was a fun episode but as I said not their "a" material.
