Hooray!

"The Venture Brothers" are coming back this Sunday and I couldn't be happier. There are few shows as smart, witty, and have such well drawn crazed characters. I've been following the show since the beginning and I am always amazed at what the Doc has brewed up. Not everything works, like way too much Sgt. Hatred and his problems, but when the show fires on all barrels it's like taking a chain gun to a skeet shoot.

In a weird way, the show is about three "families." There's the Venture clan of Rusty (ex boy adventurer now pill popping hustler), his clone sons who watch way too much scooby doo type shows (go team venture) and their body guard, the swedish murder machine Brock Samson. Their nemesis is the mighty Monarch (crazed butterfly hate obsessed nutball), his wife Dr. Girlfriend (a rare voice of sanity) and their henchmen. Finally you have Dr. Orpheus (Thespian Dr. Strange type) his daughter Triana (whom one of the Venture boys is sweet on) and his gang of mystics. Add to this mix all their enemies, friends, and hanger ons and you have a cast that rivals "The Simpsons" in size.

Oh, and David Bowie is the leader of all evil.

Definitely stay up and watch it this Sunday!
